NGAS is currently seeking a  Liaison / Material Review Board Engineer to assist with the disposition of flight line and forward operating position discrepant material tags for an active fleet.


Candidate should have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from metallic materials, specifically on aging aircraft.

 

Tasks will include: dispositioning of discrepant material tags, interfacing with stakeholder groups such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel and the DoD customer. 


Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must.


Ability to understand an interpret 2D detail part and assembly drawings is a must.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: 


Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 9 years of experience in design, fabrication and or repair of metallic airframe structures or a Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university with a minimum of 7 years of experience in design, fabrication and or repair of metallic airframe structures.

 

An active DoD Interim Secret Clearance.

 

 


Preferred Qualifications:

 

BS or MS, Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

 

Hands on experience in an aircraft manufacturing facility or repair depot .

 

Experience with repair and maintenance of aging fleet aircraft.


Excellent verbal and written communication skills

 

Ability to collaborate in a team environment

 

Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and/or accomplishing them simultaneously

 

Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions

 

Experience with military specs and standards.

 

Experience interfacing with a military customer.
