Northrop Grumman Mission Systems seeks an innovative, high-energy, and passionate candidate to join the team as a BD Operations Analyst focused on supporting business development and capture teams across the enterprise. The qualified applicant will lead BD operations activities as part of the Artificial Intelligence (AI) Campaign. Critical to the success of this role is demonstrated relationship building and ability to influence at all levels of the organization.  The position will require understanding of the AI customer market, budgets, business opportunities and industry leading technologies.


Activities will include but not limited to:

  • Supports Proposals and RFI responses across the enterprise with AI related content e.g. past performance, proof points, capabilities.
  • In coordination with AI architects, domain, and customer SMEs, develops marketing materials to be used in customer engagement activities.
  • Conducts coordination activities in support of customer engagement efforts. Activities to include but not limited to: agenda creation, logistics, briefing material creation and collection.
  • Support market and competitor assessment efforts pertaining to AI technologies.
  • Manages the enterprise-wide AI business pipeline.
  • Aligns AI technology areas to key programs and captures

  • Performs analysis and assessment of the pipeline and develops reports for leadership

  • Collects data from internal tools (i.e. Workbench) and coordinates inputs from strategic programs across the enterprise.


Basic Qualifications: 

  • Six (6) years with a Bachelors, four (4) years with a Masters degree in a business related degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • 5+ years experience in a business development or operational role.
  • Dynamic self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to function independently.
  • Requires a demonstrated flexible approach to work, and understand of working collaboratively on a team, and the willingness to be an active and supportive member of a team.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to make recommendations and provide guidance effectively to bring projects to completion is a must.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience with Windows-based office tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Experience with Workbench.
  • Project and technical leadership experience
  • Experience supporting Capture and Proposal development efforts
  • Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP)
  • Knowledge of Northrop Grumman programs and capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • MS degree in business related degree or equivalent experience desired.
  • Experience with Sales Force, SharePoint (document repository) and HTML is a plus.
  • External customer engagement experience
