Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Facilities Projects and Space Planning (MFP&SP) to join our team. This individual will oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing facility projects and serve as liaison between facility management, project teams, and department managers. The MFP&SP will plan, schedule and oversee the construction of new or expanded facilities.  This responsibility includes the preparation and participation in the development of architectural, engineering design, cost estimates, functional studies, construction plans, specifications, and schedules for facility and construction projects.  The MFP&SP will obtain and supervises outside contractors, actively participate in architectural and engineering design reviews, assist in the development of procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities. Supervise the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects. The MFP&SP will conduct construction surveillance to ensure adherence to contractual and code requirements. The MFP&SP Manager will support Senior Management in the planning and utilization of office space with requirements of organizational efficiency, and available facilities and funds. The MFP&SP plans, coordinates, and allocates office space for the site. Develops and recommends long-range plans to meet future office space needs.


 

Responsibilities include the following:


Manage the selection of design teams and construction contractors.

Ensure all code compliance is obtained to support Facility Projects

Track budgets, schedules and develop reports as required

Support Capital Asset Planning and Reporting

Schedule City and Special Inspections as required.

Supervise Project Managers and provide guidance as required.

Actively participates with Site Space Management and Planning.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  

Bachelors Degree in Construction, Project Management, Business, or related discipline.


A minimum of five years of relevant facility or construction project management experience.


Experience in Project Management Software, MS Project preferred.


Preferred Qualifications:


PMP, Facility or Construction Management Certification.


Experience in BIM Software, Revit preferred.


A solid knowledge of environmental, health and safety regulations, including the ability to review, understand and interpret regulatory standards
