This position focuses on assuring product integrity and improving process efficiency. Essential functions include the following: 
  • Verifying Lab data is robust and accurate.
  • Assuring product was tested to the correct specification.
  • Troubleshooting customer complaints to identify a Root Causes.
  • Support projects targeted at, but not limited to, cost reduction, repeat failure corrective actions, and improved product performance. 
  • Maintain a robust quality management system in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Analyze, identify and implement manufacturing and/or business process improvements which will improve capability and performance. 
  • Create and maintain company documentation, such as quality manuals and quality procedures.
  • Troubleshoot problems or flaws in the product provided for testing and production.
  • Meet with members of the production team to offer recommendations and share results.
  • Apply good quality practices in manufacturing and observe that they are being adhered to.
  • Analyze and determine product tests are complete and accurate out of the labs.  
  • Perform internal audits to assure QMS ISO compliance.  
  • Participate in teams to help make necessary improvements and changes to all process related issues in the production department.
  • Maintain supplier quality system including audit schedule.  

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in an Engineering discipline 
2 years of experience in a quality role
Must possess a valid drivers license, able to safely operate a motor vehicle
Must be able to obtain clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and Explosives as an Employee Possessor
Must pass RFAAP badging requirements, including background check and drug screening
Good computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Detail oriented
Ability to function as a project leader from concept/design to fully executed
Ability to function both independently and in a team environment
Must be able to execute to business goals and objectives
Ability to solve complex problems by evaluating information and data
Commitment to operating safely, with environmental awareness, and with a focus on producing a quality product
