Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal/Senior Principal Embedded Software Engineer based out of Point Mugu, California.

What Youll get to Do:
  • Design and develop full software life cycle artifacts from System and Software Requirements and Design and Implementation through multiple levels of test.
  • Resolve software and system defects
  • Collaborate with our customer, internal NGC sites and disciplines
  • Participate and contribute to peer reviews, critical milestone reviews, and technical inter-change meetings
  • Software methodologies are project dependent and may include Agile, Iterative development, and Waterfall.
  • Tools Utilized are project dependent and may include various VM/CM tools such as Rational Clear Case (ClearQuest for defect and change management), GIT, and MFS, Rhapsody/UML for design, Green Hills Integrity RTOS, ADA, C/C++, C#, Java, DOORs, Windows and LINUX.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline with 9 years of software experience and a Masters Degree in a STEM discipline with 7 years of software experience. 
  • Must have working experience with a higher order language such as Ada, C/C++, C#, RDBMS, MFS, Agile, UML, and real time embedded software development depending on the project assigned.
  • Must have good working knowledge of object oriented development required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to function as a member of an integrated team is essential.
  • Current DoD Secret Clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Electronic Warfare system development and design experience
  • Experience working full software life cycle experience on large scale formal DoD program
  • Familiarity with OA/MOSA
  • Knowledge of Radar, Signal Processing, Advanced Receivers/Transmitters
