Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal Project Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.


The selected candidate will provide Program Management Support and Technical Integration Support to ensure continued operations and sustainment of a system.


This position provides Project Engineering support including but not limited to: project reporting, planning, forecasting, supporting proposals, metrics creation, analysis, process creation, documentation and regular status briefs and support

for all major program milestones. Candidate will provide the technical integration support across IPTs and across IWOs to ensure all major milestone and program requirements are met. Candidate will implement metrics and enhancements to present program status.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (STEM degree) with 9 years of experience in Engineering/Systems Engineering/Project Engineering.
  • Active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a TS Secret clearance and Special Program Access.
  • Experience to include development and tracking of project milestones, measuring performance and ensuring successful completion of organizational goals.
  • Microsoft Office Suite Competency (MS Word, Power Point, Excel, Project, Vizio, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in operations, fielding and sustainment of systems preferred.
  • Experience interfacing across IPTs to facilitate the completion of projects, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering principles and familiarity with full system lifecycles (Development, Production, Sustainment).
  • Current Top Secret with SAP/SAR and program access.
