Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opportunity for an experienced Mission Assurance Program Manager (MAPM) to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals in Palmdale, CA. The Strike Mission Assurance Program Manager (MAPM) will work closely with the Strike Mission Assurance & Programs (MA&P) Director and will have responsibility for quality and Mission Assurance for a critical program. Responsibilities include oversight of Mission Assurance & Quality staff and program operations in the Palmdale Aircraft Integration Center of Excellence (PAICoE). The position requires management of SOW and support of all program review boards, as well as leading the program specific Preventive Corrective Action Boards (PCABs).
The successful candidate has the primary responsibility to be the NGAS representative to the program customers, as well as delegated DCMA leadership. The MAPM interfaces with DCMA to comprehend requirements and understand stakeholder expectations to develop controls that build confidence for process execution. Frequent interactions with program and site leadership and customer representatives is required along with operational decisions, scheduling requirements and contractual clarifications are key to maintaining compliance.
The MAPM may also serve as the Cost Account Manager for the specified WBS tasks and includes the need to manage the budget and report weekly Earned Value. This position also requires solid communication skills and the ability to prepare and present to the customer and the program leadership on key milestones and interface/address customer concerns. The MAPM is responsible to support the Quality Management System and ensure adherence to corporate/ sector policies and procedures as well as review CDRL deliveries and support other customer Award Fee criteria. Additionally, the MAPM ensures timely support and flow down of sector/division goals and key operating factors to include support of the programs affordability goals. This position is responsible for staffing and daily management of all MA&P program personnel at the PAICoE. This MAPM works closely with the site CoE Mission Assurance Director, as well as other sector directors and Vice Presidents across all Functional Homerooms and Program IPTs.
This Strike activity is a key and critical program for the corporation. This position has great influence on program financial performance via the mitigation of risks, highlighting new opportunities and assisting in future business growth while performing on the current contract. There is no doubt that quality performance is directly tied to financial performance and the MAPM position has no less responsibility than the total enterprise and the program's quality performance.
