Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Logistics Engineer or a Principal Logistics Engineer based out of McClellan, CA in the Sacramento area.



What Youll get to Do:


The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman Corporation Mission Systems Sector supporting the various sensors installed on the Manned and UAV aircraft that deploy worldwide.


Logistics Engineering provides support to customers, management, production, design engineering, component engineering, and sustainment using technology tools for providing logistics support to the customer and works with new designs for maintainability.  Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.


 - Works with a team of logistics engineers and product support analysts responsible for the development of support systems for delivered NGMS products.


- Supports various Air Force, Army and Navy programs. Implements the 12 elements of Product Support.


- Responsible for logistic management information (LMI), logistic support analysis, (LSA/LSAR) data collection, analysis and presentation of data to PMO, Management and customer at various locations.


- Lead, support, and coordinate as required team members, assigns duties, reviews documents, prepares and delivers Logistics Management Information presentation materials.


- Ensures Logistics tasking is completed on time, delivered to customers, data is accurately produced and represented and within-budget.


- Prepares and delivers logistics products while adhering to NGMS processes, procedures, and using the mil-standards, and quality standards for the correct quality of product.


- Prepares and maintains Integrated Logistics Support Plan (ILSP) that describes the processes and schedule used to acquire, develop, analyze, and document the functions and products necessary to support operations and requirements, including logistics planning/transitioning, maintenance, lifecycle support, supply support, sparing, and provisioning.


- Provides the Site Logistics Support Plan for various programs during the design/review/implementation/training phases of the logistics lifecycle.


- Develops a Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T) Plan as part of the overall Life Cycle Sustainment Program that increases sustainability while reducing total ownership costs.


- Prepares materials for and supports the various programs and technical meetings.


- Supports and maintains the integrity of the NGMS Logistics team while supporting customer requirements.


 

This requisition may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Qualifications

This requisition may be filled at either a level II Logistics Engineer or a level III  Principal Logistics Engineer.

 

Basic Qualifications for a Logistics Engineer: 

 

- Bachelors Degree and 2+ years of relevant work experience or Masters degree

 

- Must be a US Citizen and have an Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

 

- Understanding of MIL-STD-1388, Logistics Support Analysis or Military Experience in supply and supportability or understanding of GEIA-STD-0007 and GEIA-STD-0009

 

- Experience in maintaining / reporting status of program activities while collaborating with employees within the department and across functions.

   

   

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Logistics Engineer: 

 

- Bachelors Degree and 5+ years of relevant work experience or Masters degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.

 

- Must be a US Citizen and have an Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

 

- Understanding of MIL-STD-1388, Logistics Support Analysis or Military Experience in supply and supportability or understanding of GEIA-STD-0007 and GEIA-STD-0009

 

 - Experience in maintaining / reporting status of program activities while collaborating with employees within the department and across functions.

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications for a Logistics Engineer or  Principal Logistics Engineer: 

 

- Knowledge of FRACAS and reliability engineering a plus.

 

- Familiarity with AS9100 and CMMI helpful.

 

- Familiarity of SD-22 standards

 

- Working user knowledge of Eagle LSA/MMIS

 

- Knowledge of ALMSS a plus
