The Electronics & Payloads (E&P) directorate of Research, Technology and Engineering (RT&E) in the Northrop Grumman Strategic Space Systems Division (SSSD) is seeking a Senior Principal Engineer Planning Analyst to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals as the Directorate Staffing Lead (DSL). This individual will lead directorate execution of hiring, staffing, communications, business and space sector initiatives. This position is located in Manhattan Beach, CA.


DSL responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Talent Acquisition Discipline Lead

    • Lead E&P Directorate interface between leadership and TA

    • Architect and lead hiring and onboarding strategy for E&P CoE for interns, college, and full-time hires

    • Develop and communicate metrics for E&P CoE regarding hiring targets, recruitment plans, and program allocations

  • Tech Ops

    • Lead weekly E&P Directorate CoE staffing review.

    • Lead CoE initiatives including Pathways, Process Greening, Diversity & Inclusion, Conference coordination, and Professional Development 

    • Develop routine communication such as weekly newsletter, staffing charts, and directorate communications including ownership of E&P Staffing SharePoint, maintaining the E&P Chart for Staffing CoE Review and executing the E&P CoE Staffing Review

    • Develop Conops for onboarding / transfers of clearances, as well as, managing current employee clearance access. 

    • Responsible for cross functional collaboration to ensure processes updates are current and reports metrics monthly

    • Lead Tech Talks and similar knowledge and awareness seminars

    • Create content for CoE Professional Development

    • Create Career Maps for employees showcasing carious paths throughout CoE

  • Pathways Program Lead

    • Lead E&P CoE Pathways Program

    • Lead assignment rotations and employee transfers

    • Ownership of POST NEXT tracking tool

    • Lead Pathways employee presentations

    • Lead engagement events

Basic Qualifications: 


  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution and 10+ years of technical, project management, and/or staffing experience OR a Master's Degree from an accredited institution and 8+ years of technical, project management, and/or staffing experience

  • Recruiting and/or staffing experience

  • Experience with POST and/or Taleo or similar talent/staffing software tools

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint


Preferred Qualifications: 


  • Masters Degree from an accredited institution

  • Management Experience

  • Leadership experience in college or experienced recruiting

  • Demonstrated coordination with managers in hiring process

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Fast learner

  • Strong interest in hiring and operational functions
