Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems (NGIS) is looking for you to join our team as a FMEA Mission Assurance Engineer based out of Iuka, MS.


What Youll get to Do:

  • Lead Quality Engineering initiative responsible for coordination and execution of FMEA activities
  • Manage data collection, analysis, and customer interface
  • Authoring documentation to instruct operations on successful execution of quality requirements. 
  • Writing and managing risk mitigation actions and assuring their implementation.
  • Active contributor to design change control reviews and implementation
  • Support sub tier supplier FMEA activities
  • Execute projects that focus on reductions to Cost of Poor Quality through innovation and process improvements using LEAN strategies
  • Support internal audits, process observations and area assessments.
  • Establish and maintain collaboration partnership across functions and programs, customers, program management, and other support organizations.

Youll Bring These Qualifications:
Qualification for a Mission Assurance Engineer:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline and 2 years of experience
  • Prior Aerospace manufacturing experience focused on composite manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of AS9100
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AS13004 or equivalent experience with FMEA
Qualifications for a Principal Mission Assurance Engineer:
  • BS in Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline and 5 years of experience
  • Prior Aerospace manufacturing experience focused on composite manufacturing
  • Solid understanding of AS9100
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Demonstrated knowledge of AS13004 or equivalent experience with FMEA
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Experience with APQP and AS9145
  • Experience with measurement system analysis
  • Good organizational skills
