Northrop Grumman Space is currently seeking an experienced EVM Business Process Analyst to join our Program Finance team in Dulles, VA.

Position Summary / Responsibilities:

Provide analytical support to earned value management and related business management processes to coordinate with business and program teams, ascertaining system requirements, such as program functions, analysis and reporting requirements, input data acquisition, and system techniques and controls.  Support the business management function to maintain currency and relevance of existing business processes, tools and associated training materials.  Formulate and develop new and modified business information data collection and processing systems in response to changing internal and external customer requirements.

Collect and document business requirements for project and process improvement/automation efforts.  Define requirements and business cases for deployment of new tools and processes to support continuous improvement and increased efficiency. Conduct meetings, research processes, collect data, analyze information and perform related tasks to develop and deploy process implementations.

Facilitate process workflow modeling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.  Create process workflows, documentation and training materials for existing and new processes. Oversee rollout of the solutions, facilitate testing, training and user acceptance and oversee rollout of the solutions

Review information and trends to ensure that the output of processes are achieving the desired results and that processes are meeting program and business requirements.  Support maturity assessments against the process activities to highlight areas of improvement or concerns, identify issues and risks. Bring inconsistencies and problems to the attention of management and participate in the problem resolution.



Basic Qualifications:
  • Previous experience with business process analysis or in a related position for 6 Years with a Bachelors degree; 4 Years with Masters; in lieu of a degree 10 Years of relevant work experience will be considered.
  • Previous experience with process requirements definition, creation of process workflows, process documentation and training material for business management or similar processes
  • Knowledge of computer system capabilities, tools, business processes, and work flow techniques.  Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Visio.  Visual Basic experience is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Knowledge of portal technologies such as Microsoft SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A critical thinker and problem solver with a strong analytical backend, employing a data-driven approach to resolve challenges with excellent diagramming and communication skills.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management processes is preferred.
  • Outstanding verbal communication, documentation and presentation skill, with proven ability to run workshops and meetings.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with demonstrated ability to multi-task, work under pressure, think analytically and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to adapt and stretch capabilities and skills to meet the needs of a fast growing business.
  • Strong experience analyzing business processes within a service-based organization.
  • Strong analytical, facilitation, and process mapping skills.
  • Active Top Secret clearance is preferred.


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Financial Management or similar relevant field.
  • PMP Certification, Lean/Six Sigma or Business Process Management Certification preferred.
