Northrop Grumman Space Systems, Launch & Missile Defense Systems (LMDS) Division seeks a financial analyst to support the AMS Operating Unit financial reporting, planning, and analysis activities. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Consolidating and analyzing monthly financial reporting and forecasting.

  • Providing guidance on EAC and revenue recognition policies/procedures.

  • Coordinating monthly variance analysis, consolidating and reviewing annual operating plans.

  • Coordinating monthly unbilled AR reviews. 

  • Supporting the OU programs with development of forward pricing and coordination of monthly overhead variance reporting and forecast updates.

  • Coordinating with LMDS Division Financial Reporting, Business Unit and Operating Unit BMs, and Financial Analysts. 

  • Developing financial reporting schedules for the OU.

  • Tracking financial reporting actions to closure. 


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related field, with 10 years of related experience or a Master's degree  - as described above with 8 years of related experience.  (An additional 4 years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree). 
  • Proficiency in COGNOS Analytics tool.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Business Warehouse.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience preparing and presenting complex financial analysis to senior management.
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Secret level security clearance.  US Citizenship is a prerequisite.

  • Advanced Excel skills to include pivot tables, complex formulas, and macros.

  • Ability to forecast and analyze cash flow.

  • Prior experience coordinating AOP at organizational level.

  • Understanding of EACs and revenue recognition.

  • Overhead rate management/forecasting experience.
