Description

Northrop Grumman is looking for a Data Ingest Analyst to work in the Northern Virginia area.

 
Responsibilities:
  • Apply technical skills and experience in working with structured and unstructured data for ingest into a variety of applications. 
  • Monitor data loads and fix errors during the load process and perform quality control on ingested data. 
  • Write/edit and test macros, scripts, parsers, and small programs to process, load or analyze data, and perform configuration management before entering into production baseline. 
  • Provide daily logs and statistics, and output from utility tools, as well as track and provide daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports and statistics/metrics, and support COOP and emergency response activities.
  • Work under only general direction, and independently determines approaches and develops innovative solutions to improve efficiency and quality of data loads.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Math or related field plus a minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience.  In lieu of degree, an additional 4 years of related experience may be substituted.
  • 7+ years with working with structured and unstructured data for ingest into a variety of applications.
  • Demonstrated experience with computer file management in Windows and UNIX/Linux environment.
  • Current TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with a variety of scripting languages (such as csh, perl, python)
  • Demonstrated ability to work in teams with a collaborative interpersonal style
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders to include senior management and customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the Intelligence Community
  • Experience working in a Customer Facility
  • Ability to perform with minimum direction
  • Ability to work in a demanding environment with changing priorities
