Northrop Grumman Innovation Systems designs, builds and delivers space, defense
and aviation-related systems to customers around the world. Our main products
include launch vehicles and related propulsion systems; missile products,
subsystems and defense electronics; precision weapons, armament systems and
ammunition; satellites and associated space components and services; and
advanced aerospace structures.
Direct and coordinate
mission assurance activities including design assurance engineering, EEE parts,
reliability engineering, and supply chain quality, manufacturing quality and
configuration and data management, in support of one or more programs.
Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality
policies, and procedures to ensure all space related products and services are
delivered to the customer on schedule, at minimum cost, and fully compliant to
all contractual requirements. Responsible for the review and approval of
suppliers and subsequent interfacing with suppliers to resolve nonconformance.
Review bids and proposals and provide advice and support to Program Management,
Engineering, and Manufacturing. Responsible for overseeing integration and test
activities for Launch Vehicles.
This matrix position
reports to the Program Manager as well as the Director of Safety and Mission
Assurance. This position will be responsible for the following:
Establish, implement and administer an effective Mission Assurance
program in compliance with applicable customer contracts and other guidelines
set forth by Launch Vehicle requirements. This effort includes participation
in system level design development, manufacturing, and testing activities;
discrepancy review and approval; failure investigations; cause and corrective
action determinations; contract reviews; procurement review and approval;
internal and external reporting; member of the Corrective Action Board,
Configuration Control Board; support the program at Flight Review Boards; Cost
Account Management; direct interaction with Government and customer
representatives is required.
- The position requires additional support related to program
proposal efforts, tracking and reporting metrics, mission specific risk issues
and develop and present internal and external Mission Assurance briefings.
This position requires experience and command of the Earned Value
Management System and the management of multiple cost accounts.
Team areas of responsibility include vehicle quality
configurations management, program environmental health and safety
requirements, program non-conformance reporting, program metrics, corrective
action management and hardware acceptance and pedigree reviews. Other
duties as assigned.
Planning work tasks, identifying and securing personnel and
equipment resources, personnel management, cost account management,
communication status, issues and resolutions plans to program and functional
management and providing technical leadership to the team.
Current /active secret clearance
possess demonstrated management and leadership skills. Must possess excellent
interpersonal skills. Must have the ability and desire to develop and maintain
an effective working relationship with staff, customer and government
personnel, program management, engineering and subcontractors. Excellent
written and oral communications skills a must.
