Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is looking for you to join our team as an Information Systems Project Manager, (Principal or Senior Principle Level) based out of Bellevue Nebraska.

 

What Youll get to Do:


This motivated individual will serve as a project manager within the SEMS organization and will provide leadership and overall direction to one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations while providing oversight and leadership for all project requirements. The selected candidate will serve as the customer liaison for project leadership and will manage all scheduling, change
management, risk management, and cost management requirements for the assigned project. The selected candidate will also be responsible for any optimization, or other remediation work assigned by the project management lead. The location for this position is in Bellevue, NE. Up to 10% travel may be required.

 

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Develop customer relationships and cultivate customer intimacy

Leading and directing a cross-functional team to meet program cost, schedule and technical objectives

Preparation of project execution plans and identification of appropriate technical and business resources required

Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget.

Development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) and serving as the Cost Account Management (CAM) for IT projects.

Development and delivery of presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders

Work in a deadline-driven environment, handling and prioritizing multiple tasks. Works under general direction, independently determine and develop approaches to solutions.

Manage and track status of projects, metrics, financial budgets, and EACs; Manage schedules and prepare status reports; and ensure project remediation and ongoing compliance goals are met

 

A successful Information Systems Project Manager candidate must possess excellent communication skills - both verbal and written; strong interpersonal skills; a good problem solving mindset; and the ability to present program visibility at internal/external meetings to include all levels of management including executive level.

 

This is not a Manager position. This is an individual contributor role.

 

This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.


Qualifications

This position may be filled as either a Principal or Senior Principal.

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

Level 3:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant work experience or 3 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree; 0 years with PhD

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • The candidate must have experience in leadership.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, and Power Point

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required) 

Level 4:

  • A Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant work experience or 7 years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree; 4 years PhD

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • The candidate must have experience in leadership.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance per business requirements (US citizenship required) 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Prior or current experience with the Air Force Weather projects or programs
  • Experience with project management tools and presenting project data like status, risk and deliverables to key stakeholders
  • Previous experience working Agile Development projects
  • Experience with multiple contract types (CPIF, FFP)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data retrieval and pivot tables
  • PMP Certification
  • Advanced level knowledge of Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Agile or SCRUM Certification
  • Current, Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
