The Supply Chain Manager role within the Strategy and Strategic Sourcing organization is a collaborative function responsible for the development and deployment of advanced supply chain strategies in support of technology maturation, operational efficiency and business unit performance.  As a leadership position the role will focus on developing, and managing tools and systems to provide supply chain and competitor intelligence, Sector supply chain risk management, aggregated demand forecasts, capacity analysis, strategic teaming and partnership agreements and make/buy strategies.  This position will interface with all Mission Systems organizations as well as provide engagement opportunities with enterprise sectors, corporate staff and senior level leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead projects to frame, develop and deploy supply chain solutions to meet the sectors long term strategic goals.

  • Supplier Segmentation & Supplier Relationship Management

  • Supply Chain Intelligence - Monitor and evaluate industry and supply chain trends and provide insight/guidance to future direction

  • Monitor key supplier organization, business and financial activities and provide recurring supplier intelligence guidance and reports

  • Sector Supply Chain Risk & Opportunity Management Framework & Governance

  • In collaboration with Operations teams, develop methods to evaluate supply base capacity including internal NGC capacities and provide insight/guidance for competitive positioning and strategy development

  • In collaboration with Operations site IPTs capture supplier spend data and develop strategies to leverage supplier/product procurements

  • Support key campaign and capture priorities as needed

  • Supply Chain Operational Efficiency initiatives



  • Basic Qualifications: 
    Bachelors' Degree
  •  US Citizenship and ability to obtain government security clearance
  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated success/problem solving skills in supply chain, business management, operations, logistics, engineering or program management 
  •  Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Demonstrated leadership success and ability to influence direct reports, interact with peers and all levels of management in the organization Highly effective interpersonal skills, commitment to fostering an engaging environment for others and excellent communication skills
  • Must have 3+ years experience of team lead and/or management of people.


Preferred Qualifications: 

Previous experience in managing supply chain Demonstrated experience with developing complex agreements such as long term agreements, teaming agreements, strategic alliances, MOA's, overriding Terms and Conditions Demonstrated working knowledge of supplier financial reporting/forecasting, contracting/subcontracting, supplier/program/product scheduling and regulatory compliance    Demonstrated working knowledge of data analytic applications and techniques and methods for strategy development and deployment. Experience with the use of agile methods for project planning and execution.  Experience with and a working knowledge of mission systems product lines and technology building blocks.
