This Systems Engineer position, based in Albuquerque, NM, is part of an exciting new program supporting satellite operations. The candidate will be a member of a team implementing software and hardware resources for the operation of a complex space system from one of our new product lines. This innovative system consists of multiple mission payloads, each demonstrating never before seen technologies. The candidate will have an active role in shaping the basis of how to execute planning and operations. Responsibilities may include:

Planning, writing, and executing spacecraft commissioning activities and procedures for customer space missions.
Planning and writing user handbooks for Space Vehicles, Ground Systems, and Simulators.











Basic Qualifications: 

This position may be performed at a level 3 or level 4 engineer depending on the qualifications, skills, and experience of the candidate.

Principal Systems Engineer 3 - Bachelors Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area 5+ years of experience, Masters Degree and 3+ years of experience.

Sr, Principal Systems Engineer 4 - Bachelors Degree in STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or related area 9+ years of experience, Masters Degree and 7+ years of experience.

US Citizenship with an active or current Top Secret/SSBI and the ability to obtain SCI level access.
Planning, writing, and executing commissioning activities and procedures for customer missions.
Planning and writing user handbooks for Ground Systems and Simulators.
Support the management of Payload interfaces and CONOPS definitions.
Support mission simulation, scripting, and verification activities.
Participation in integration and test activities at other corporate locations to develop subsystem and system familiarity.
Participation in mission rehearsals to simulate engineering tasks performed in operations.
Participation in rotating 24x7 mission operations shift coverage.
Generation of data analysis reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within any one of the following technical areas:
Space Vehicle, Ground Station, or Sensor (i.e. student or industry project) hardware and/or software design, I&T, and/or on orbit operations
Space Vehicle or Sensor modeling and simulation (i.e. Matlab, STK, Free-Flyer)
Familiarity with embedded systems and/or programming languages (C/C++, Python, STOL, etc.)
Familiarity with Mission Operations Center architectures and interfaces
Ability to clearly communicate (both verbal and written) with peers, customer and senior leadership
